    Dump Hay Rake

I have two. I use the big one every-once-in-a-while. When I first tried them I rolled too big a batch of hay and broke the sheer pin on the baler. Got to watch and not roll too tight.

Scams and catching the villians your thoughts

Same here. I bank at a small town bank that watches and protects its customer very well. If you are going away on vacation they like to know because they watch your account like a hawk. They are suspicious of any out-of-state purchases and sometimes call you and ask if it is you making the purchase.

    email

This is not an email problem, but a Windows problem. You might need to set the default program that each file type is opened with. Otherwise Windows does not know which program to use. In Window's, not email, do the following: If a program does not show up in the list, you can make the program a...

    Concrete block silos

Yes, I think the weight of the grain alone would cause it to rise up and spill out (wood stave sile). If you look at the original photo you will see it had steel cable tied around the outside to hold it down.

    Concrete block silos

Here's a wood-stave grain bin I picked up a couple of years ago. Took it down and will be putting it up on my place. Like you, I'm just doing it for the look.

    Resurrecting JD 247 planter, long

I just picked up a JD 494 with similar problems to yours. Bearings are out of the wheel axles, etc. Haven't started to work on it yet, but its good to see you having success with yours. I'll use your idea of testing it with sunflower seeds when I get to it.

What's your place look like? (pics)

My house, barn and machine were built in 1886. I started collecting old steel wheeled equipment in 2005 just to go with the place. I have a Mennonite neighbor living across the road. I also have a Web site I developed of my farm at the below link Untitled URL Link

    John Deere 4 row planter

I just picked up a JD 4 row planter, a 494 I think. I haven't got it home yet, but it came with theses 4 long box things. The fellow I bought it from was selling it for his FIL and said that he was just giving me everything he could find that was green in the barn. Can anyone tell me what they...

Just How Dangerous is the Snap Coupler Arrangement.

Don't use snap couplers. Take them off and switch to the older pin hitch. I bolt everything on.

    Modern Times

Took this the other day standing in front of my barn. Pictured are three separate land owners. The one with the horses, Belgians, is my neighbor across the road from me. He is Old-Order Mennonite. He's setting on a steel-wheeled cart next to an air-cooled Duetz diesel. The PTO off that engine is...
