Case IH 1120, made by Mitsubishi, Hydro Issues (Same as Cub Cadet 7192)

Hi, I have an early 90s Case IH 1120, built by Mitsubishi. It runs great but the hydro is very weak, both forward and reverse. I was told the pump can be rebuilt for $2,100, but the tractor needs to be split. The high pressure relief could be the culprit, but I can't find it, I believe you...

1950 H intermittently running very rough, popping

I tried several things with the carb, choking it, opening main needle all of the way, even a shot of starting fluid, none of those improved it at all, it doesnt seem fuel related. I didnt feel the coil but I bought a new one to rule that out, was running like crap, shut it off, swapped coils...

1950 H intermittently running very rough, popping

The points look like new, I replaced them and condenser 4 or 5 years ago, I cleaned and checked gap and it was .020. Ill replace both again when I get the parts. Ill check runout on the shaft bushing too.

1950 H intermittently running very rough, popping

I did try choking it, opening up the main needle and giving it a shot of starting fluid, none of which made it perk up.

1950 H intermittently running very rough, popping

How much wear is too much? I should be able to measure the total runout with the feeler gauges, pull the shaft towards the points and measure, push away and measure and subtract?

1950 H intermittently running very rough, popping

The only other experiences Ive had with something running like this was condenser on a John Deere 214 Kohler years ago, it ran but banged and popped sort of like this. Point gap was right on and the points looked nice and clean. I have read a few things about the distributor bushings, how do I...

1950 H intermittently running very rough, popping

I fired up my H yesterday and it started and ran great as usual for about 10 minutes then started randomly missing and popping and back firing occasionally. Choke would kill it, adjusting the main jet didnt fix it, I could kill it by closing the main needle and make it run worse by opening it...

    1949 8N 3-Point not going down

After all kinds of other things going on, including measurable snowfall here in Mn, I finally got it back together. I had to widen the oring groove on the piston, the PO had someone cut a groove, but made it exactly the size of the oring, including the full radius in the bottom of the groove. It...

    1949 8N 3-Point not going down

I used a vise grips and a piece of angle, just kept squeezing and adjusting. It had a little spring so it isn't completely straight, but I'm going to run with it. I was surprised how soft it was.

    1949 8N 3-Point not going down

My plan is to press it straight. I have read several posts where they have been straightened cold, I'm just going to go slow.
