Breaker size with 225 Amp welder?

What size breaker is everyone use with a Lincoln 225 amp single phase welder. There welders are also known as Buzz boxes or Tombstones'. Bet Lincoln has made a million of them over the years. Mine is old enough to be made with copper electrics rather than aluminum. I bought it at an auction...

New player in the subcompact tractor market

Think about finding parts for it 5-10 years from now. Very hit and miss.

    Looking for older 50hp +/-

I bought a Deere 2150 about a year ago, am very happy with it. Cold weather starting is no problem, it pulls a 6 foot reverse rotation 3 point tiller with no problem, excellent on grader blade and post hole digger. Parts support from the local Deere dealer is good. Some parts for older...

    Two Cylinder Club Expo

It was a shame to see the Two Cylinder Club Expo cancelled. Lots of excuses but it is aging club and fuel prices to transport tractors to Waterloo, IA had to be at least part of it. I would not be surprised if they are more/less living off of the model tractor sales. Members have so many it...

    Whats wrong with SAE 30?

The multi grade oils have a better additive package. Reduces carbon build up in the piston ring pack area. For a parade tractor I would not worry about it.

    What ceiling fan?

You can buy all metal fans on Amazon. They are not reversible, the controller looks 1970's vintage. OK for a shop environment, not so nice for a house. They may have improved the controller, it has been a couple of years since I bought mine.

Think about what it will be worth in 10 years after you throw money at now. Next to nothing. Run from off brand tractors.

    PTo wood chipper

Any thoughts on who makes the best PTO wood chipper? Service and parts support are as important as price. Plan to put it behind a 45 HP tractor. Will be using it to thin out and trim trees. Anything over 4 or 5 inch will be saved for firewood. Thanks, Bill.

    2150 LED Hood Lights

Anybody know if any supplier(s) make front hood lights for a 2150 utility tractor? I can find them for a 4050, etc but do not know if they will fit. Thanks, Bill

    Roundup shortage?

Anybody else having problems getting Roundup? All of the stores I visited in Indiana are out. They were told early in the season there would be a shortage. Anybody else hearing this? I have enough to finish this year but am concerned about next year.

    PTO tiller?

Thanks to everyone for their input. Looks like I'm torn between King Kutter and Bush Hog. Really don't need until next year but you never know when one will pop up. I'll visit the Bush Hog dealer too, they might cut me a deal if they have any left over from this year's selling seasson.

    PTO tiller?

Beginning to look at a PTO tiller for a 45 HP tractor. King Kutter has excellent advertising, claimed to be all gear drive but is sold in big box farm stores. No parts or service support. Bush Hog is a well known name, typically sold at farm tractor dealers but I don't know much about them...

    Mice eating ear corn

Thanks for the input. Looks like the best idea is to get the corn crib off the ground.
