    135 runs then stops

It's official, I have now spent more time trying to fix this problem than actually using the tractor ... Have acted on all Ray UK's and Dieseltech's suggestions, problem persists. (Incidentally there are usually some air bubble from the upper bleed screw on the injector pump. Once these are...

    135 runs then stops

Absolutely, who'd have thought it? I'm not a big user of tractors myself, this one is just to control a very few acres of paddock (brambles) and because I really like the way they were built. Bit of a concern about getting the wrong side of the camshaft: if something can be fitted...

    135 runs then stops

Hi Dieseltech, Much appreciate the response – between you and Ray UK i'm going to have a busy Saturday splashing around in fuel oil. Will keep you posted.

    135 runs then stops

Hi Ray, Thanks very much for getting back to me. All the new pipes have those "factory" flared ends, but will check carefully ... BTW, in the huge wide world that is Yesterday's Tractors it was a pleasant surprise to come across such a near neighbour: I was in Dover this evening as it...

    135 runs then stops

OK, next stop is the Funny Farm. Tractor starts really easily, any weather. Runs perfectly between 10 minutes and 45 minutes. Then, out of nowhere (though revs usually rise just before) the engine cuts out. After bleeding the fuel system it restarts. I've tried: New primary fuel...

mf 135 primary fuel filter leak

Most of fuel system had to be replaced. Tractor runs and all leaks fixed ... except one. Leaks a steady stream with engine off, even worse when on. Seems to be coming from under the rim of the primary filter housing, but it's difficult to be sure. The whole assembly (head, pipes, olives, seals...

mf135 fuel (diesel) lines and preheat system

'afternoon DavidP, Thanks for reply your drawing is much better than schematic i have and I think I now know where everything's meant to go. Any thoughts on why the new lines (Sparex) don't fit properly? Am i ok to bend them with a mini pipe bender?

Thanks for that, very reassuring - hopefully rail is not blocked then. Tx for reply

mf135 fuel (diesel) lines and preheat system

It's finally warm enough in the shed to start this job. The fuel system has been extensively "modified": all the return section, mini-fuel tank, secondary filter and associated lines have been removed. I'm trying to return it to standard. 1) The engine started and ran fine, but how come fuel...

    mf 135 fuel filters

DavidP, you are a (reliable) star - thanks for the advice and drawing, which is going to be invaluable. My manual only has a schematic of the pipework and quite a lot has been removed, looks like I'm about to get some experience at pipe flaring! Much appreciated.

    mf 135 fuel filters

Good point, thanks, and it's reassuring to think that no great damage has probably been done. I'd still like to return the tractor to standard though, if 2 filters were standard ...

    mf 135 fuel filters

I got my 135 with only one fuel filter, see pic. Unless anyone can tell me differently I assume there should be 2, as per the manual. In fact, it all looks butchered (shouldn't there be a pipe from the top of the filter shown, banjoed onto that bolt? Where does it go?) I'd be very grateful...

    MF 135 Hydraulics Problem

I'm a long way from knowing what I'm talking about but a few thoughts to get you going: 1) if you haven't already, try the obvious like cleaning the filter, it's easy and can make a big difference. 2) if the pump's pumping and it there's enough (halfway decent) fluid then the next problem...

    MF 135 brakes

Jersey Joe, 135 Mf and DavidP thank you all for you experience, knowledge and expertise. Useful as manuals are, this kind of advice and support is invaluable and makes all the difference. I'll let you know how I get on ... Thanks.
