    control burns are a proven wildfire reduction tool. what I'm talking about is someone burring trash or brush in their back yard and wind blows embers into a pasture and starting an uncontroled wildfire. two very different things.

    We stay under burn bans most of the time. It may get lifted for a week every now and then. A lots of people ignore them though and wildfires are common.

    Not farming. Never farmed as an adult. Had horses and was a farrier for over 20 years.

    I found a Texas DL and other papers along a road near my house. No phone number so I mailed them to the address which was in Austin and not the local area. I got a note back from a parent whose daughter wasn't supposed to be out here.

    I will say this. If a ride is too fast or too slow choose not to go on it. If you are the organizer, you get to pick your speed.

    Not an accident but: In the driver's meeting the organizers clearly state, "If someone breaks down everyone else keep going. The support staff will deal with the breakdown including load it on the trailer and meet at the lunch spot or back at the gathering point if it occurs on the way back."...

    Excellent job on the kitchen. Isn't retirement great, you can tackle jobs like those and it isn't "work".

    0.7 in Jan. and 0.45 in Feb. The next chance next week is forecast to be about 0.25.

    I saw similar on another one of these hill country rides. The lady killed her B then kept doing wheelies until someone came over and helped her. I was behind her but had stayed way back and was on the other side of the low water crossing.
