    Ferguson TO20 12 volt conversion

Thanks for the quick reply. To avoid draining battery, I have disconnected cable. When running, the alternator shows plus charging, so that part of the wiring is correct. I'm thinking about putting a toggle switch in the positive wire to the coil, that would be one way to stop the engine. HA...

    First time Fergie owner

Greetings Tom, I've had my TO20 since 1997, great little machine. I also have a Ford 9N and you probably know the implements are interchangeable. Mine is not as pretty as yours which probably was under cover most of it's life. I recently converted to 12 volt with pertronix ignition, wished I...

    to20 conversion 6v to12 v

he slotted holes attach to engine block, the round holes allow the alternator to be adjusted. Be careful with the slotted holes, use lock washers cause it tends to want to slide off the block. I can't really see why the slotted holes are used because of the possibility of slipping and falling lose.

Making the jump from 6 to 12

I'm also moving from 6 to 12 Volt with EI on my 1947 2N which I've owned since 1982. It's been under cover ever since I've owned it but I'm tired of the pitted points and bad condensers. My only question is about my 6 Volt starter, should I wire a resister in before it? Thanks.
