    Powered Post Drivers

Titan Post Pounders, forget the model, perhaps 2875. At any rate it is generally amazing if a bit heavy. Bent used T post, no problem, drives it in straight in seconds. 2 7/8" used drill stem for corner posts, 10' lengths pounded 5' into hard clay, through some tree roots, not seconds, more like...

    Electrical Question

Recent move to a ~1978 house. The first thing I did was replace all of the switches and receptacles on the second floor (bedrooms and bath) with new spec grade, new nylon plates and draft gaskets, correcting a couple grounding issues along the way and noting that all wire was 12ga. I got about...

Transferring Argon Gas .... large to small tank .... ????

2015 psi and 2400 psi are common so yes possible to overpressurize a bit if the source cyl is full and small cyl is not the plus rated.

Transferring Argon Gas .... large to small tank .... ????

This. Partial pressure gas blending for SCUBA nitrox is common and easy from larger O2 cylinders. Do that calcs and then trans-fill to the correct pressure with O2 then top with air from compressor to 3000 psi. Have DSAT gas blender cert.

Music for your Barn or Workshop.

I came to the realization that music is pretty much all whiney emo junkies I don't need to support in any way, so I just listen to the voices in my head now... :)

    Internet Confusion

Lot of scam sites out there, I always go direct to the correct site, however in the last year or so both the Home Depot and Lowes mobile sites have become all but unuseable. The "desktop" site on a real computer mostly works ok though.

injection tool for applying a termiticide under concrete

Similar upcoming project and similar plan for it. Have enough chem for 100 gal or so of mix to treat around house and shed and probably eventual shop. you don't need high pressue, indeed with restrictive clay soils you may have to go rather slow and close injection points to get adequate coverage.

    Putting the Generator away

Whenever possible I run the carb dry and rarely have starting issues. Unlike many I run ordinary alcoholic gas, my equipment is all either new enough to have been built with alcohol resistant fuel lines and whatnot or has had those parts replaced by now with current stuff.

Liability Insurance coverage on timber or pasture land

Insurance can be very, very strange. Back when I bough my first larger vacant land property many years ago I needed basic insurance coverage on it. At the time I was still living at my parents. Long story short, my agent concluded that my parents homeowner's policy would cover my liability on my...

    Different size trailer tires

Since a trailer has no differential, no 4x4, no ABS (unless a semi trailer), etc. the rev/mile and size are much less critical. Trailers are also rarely loaded perfectly balanced so if it's riding 3/4" higher on one side that would matter little. In tandem singles the equalizer should compensate...

    Different size trailer tires

Insufficient info. Tandem axle? Duals? What tire sizes on each wheel? Fully loaded or light?

    Aluminum wheels on my trailer

I might note that a great many semis use aluminum wheels to save weight. The material isn't what matters it is the ratings on the particular wheel.

Welding machine for building up pin bores...

They work with your MIG welder, gives rotation and infeed to do spiral buildup which you then need to line bore back to proper size. Check snowball engineering on youtube, he has a few videos using one.
