    860 hydraulic pump rebuild

Thanks to all for your input. I did replace the seal, all the springs, gaskets and ball valves. I did have trouble installing the small springs on the new valve plate and the roll pins were distorted from installation. I used an ice pick to hold the spring in place and another pick to work the...

    860 hydraulic pump rebuild

With the help of this forum I narrowed down my hydraulic problem to the pump. Arms would not operate until engine ran at a fast idol for 15 to 20 minutes then would work intermittent and slow. Problem was air in the system. After bleeding the pump it would work just fine but if left overnight...

641 - Broke Off Bolt in Gas Tank for Shut-off Valve HELP!!

If the easy out is through the bolt and protrudes from the inside, and you can get at it from the fill cap on the top you should be able to hit it with a long punch it should tap out quit easily. Just a thought.

    No Charge

I agree, I had all this advice, some good some not so good but it gave me a starting point to do some research which led me to a means to trouble shoot and find the problem of which I had no Idea as where to start in the first place. Again thanks to all as this was a good learning...

    Ford 4000

This is a fairly easy fix. I had to remove the right foot rests four bolts, also the return springs on the brakes had to be removed from the foot rests. After you get that far you just have to remove the fitting from the side of the tractor. You will have to get the whole assembly. You'll get a...

    Ford 4000

Thanks to all for the input. This is the later model with a three cylinder. If I understand you correctly the hydraulics and the rear axle are a common sump. I fill from the top fill cap on the rear axle, pull the square headed plug on the right rear even with the center of the axles and...
