    Thanks, everyone for the replies. I'm going to pick up some steel to make side frames and get this thing mounted up. Then a couple of new hoses and I should be in business! Out of curiosity, what's fair market on a decent shape 48 now?

    Im inclined to think yall are right. I went and picked up the loader last night, and after looking over the brackets and tractor, I believe the side frames are necessary to reduce stress on the engine casting. Based on a quick web search, its goi g to be much cheaper to just make my own frames...

    Fantastic, thank you! Lots of Jim's around here... Looks like the brackets he is including have the adapter plates with them. Consensus is that they should bolt right up to my 2240 without side plates? Edit: After some more looking, I'm almost certain I'll need to come up with another set...

    I'm not positive they weren't part of the loader mount for that one, too. Hard to say, that was a long time ago.

    Thank you for the quick reply! I don't believe it has side frames-assuming those would be plates bolted to the casting? Tractor is already plumbed with quick connects underneath, we had a 145 on it years ago. I'll see if I can post some pics to help out the discussion.
