That is exactly what I was wondering about. So thank you for confirming my suspicions... Hopefully there is an MT owner out there with a good technique that will not lead to over torque or wondering....- wwklink

mt touch-o-matic rt control lever leaking
MT right TOM lever is leaking fluid from the seal and the groove pin 25H51T is missing from the left lever. Is it possible to remove that unit from the front of the rock shaft on the tractor and disconnect the linkage arms in order to R & R the control unit???? The parts list "looks like...- wwklink

John Deere M carb
I have an MT with an "L" shaped adjustment like on the bottom of the MS carb... I think they are about the same for the M as well... If you tighten the nut on the base; the packing will grip that adjustment as tight as you need it.... Probably need to back it out first. AND they could have...- wwklink
