Transmission stuck in 3rd or 4th
For a few years I have been using only 1st gear and reverse on my 53 Ford 8n tractor which I use with a finish mower. I have to take it on the road so wanted to make sure 3rd and 4th gears worked. They seem to but now when I go back to 1st gear the speed seems like 3rd or 4th. The transmission...- xaja34

HELP. Gehl 2500 skid steer
Im working on a 68/70 Gehl 2500 skid steer. Got unit running, lift and tilt work fine, drive worked for 5 minutes than locked up. Drive units will not turn. I can turn tires by hand with them off the ground, gears in drive boxes all seem to turn fine by hand. I have removed the 2 valves in...- bigbob1939

I drove garbage truck one summer, B model Mack with a duplex, did plenty of shifting without the clutch. Also drove an old Rex cement truck once in a while with a 5 and 3. Some eight speed RR. The worst was a triaxle dump with a 13 speed. With all our hills, stop lights ect all you did...- sms
