    In reply to ja Nicholson,I did the thing with the cotton and the straw and I got it started but still not running like it should.when I took the plugs out they were pretty sooted up so I will clean and try again.Also wondered if timing may be off now.

    I replaced the coil before it started missing.The old one was bad for sure.After I put the new coil on it started and ran fine for an hour or so.For this reason I believe the plugs wires and points are ok but condenser maybe bad.
