    MF54A backhoe swing cylinder conversion

    This year I need to change my swing cylinder on my backhoe(leaks, pivot pin is worn, ect...). I was thinking I could put a standard cylinder on each side to pivot the backhoe. Has anyone any pics of such a conversion that they could share?

    Thanks, once plugged in for an hour it started right up. I will have to look into the other starting option if it still works after all these years(I am just a few years older than the tractor, and not everything works on me!)

    Hello, just purchased a 4500 Backhoe with the 3cyl engine. It's about 30deg F outside, and I forgot to plug it in.     Thank for the info, where on the unit should the serial number and ID plate be located? Is there a place on-line where I can get a description of what all the pedals and knobs do(not for the hoe and the loader, there self explanatory)all around the drivers seat? , Once again thanks for the help!
