How important is the 'correct' ohm value on a ballast resistor?
I'm seeing options as low as .5 ohm on up past 3 in basically the same package. Does my '67 IH 4 cylinder gas 12v system care? No internal resistor in coil.- zamistro

What is the ohm value of this resistor?
This is the ignition resistor off my '67 IH 2424 4 cylinder gas. Any idea what the ohm value is? I know what my ohm meter says, but who knows if that affected by the condition of the resistor. Patent is the only visible marking.- zamistro

Recommendations for vintage tractor repair near Duluth Mn
I've a '67 IH 2424 4cyl gas. It's not seized and ran (poorly) a month ago. The carb is new. It starts ok, but after running 5-10 minutes, it quits and needs an hour of cool down before I can get it to go another few minutes.
