    9600 Hydraulic Fluid Options

Right! I caught that in the owner's manual. I bought a quart of the right stuff today. I ended up going to a New Holland dealer to get that and a gallon of Ambra 134 hydraulic fluid. Thanks

    9600 Hydraulic Fluid Options

Hi all. I've been reading and researching about hydraulic fluids this evening, but I'm still not sure which non-CNH brand to use in my 9600. Rural King and NAPA are my most convenient options, but it's tough to decipher their applications (nothing matches OEM from my manuals). What do you guys...

    W-9 Ratchet Type Starter Drive?

Hi. I'd like to install a "ratchet" type starter drive/bendix on my W-9. The original hits hard on 12 volts. The 12 volt system was on the tractor when I bought it and works great otherwise. The W-9 starter is in front of the flywheel, like a Cub. In fact, the stock drive seems to be the same...

Horse or Bull Blinders? Old Barn Find

We're cleaning out our old barn and finding some cool items. This piece is leather and has a (formerly) galvanized steel "cap". My grandpa kept race horses here, but we don't remember him having or using it. It may even have been the property of a previous occupant of the farm. A any ideas...

    McCormick W-9 Fuel Tank Insulator

Thanks. That's a good idea. I have a neighbor who makes round bales, although he trades balers before they would need new parts. ;-)

    McCormick W-9 Fuel Tank Insulator

I was thinking of making three pads and doing away with the strap. My concern was the weight bearing on two points up front vs. the entire leading edge. The tank holds 36 gallons, so it'd be hefty full of fuel. Of course, I probably won't ever have it that full. Thanks again for the suggestions.

    McCormick W-9 Fuel Tank Insulator

I like the belting idea. The part that bugs me is the "V" shape of the pedestal/center support vs. the flat bottom of the tank. I wonder if the original was molded in that shape, or if it was flexible enough to compress where needed. Thanks

    McCormick W-9 Fuel Tank Insulator

Hi, all. I need to come up with an insulator (flexible strap) for the bottom/front edge of my W-9 fuel tank (part #13 in attached picture). The remnants of mine are very pliable, but flimsy and not thick enough. The tank is flat across the bottom, but the pedestal is slightly "V" shaped. I...
