Farmall Super C - Adding a Remote Hydraulic Connection

Besides the bypass block you will need the valve and the piping from the pump to the reservoir is a different configuration. I've thought about it for my Super C but I think the cost of everything is going to stop me at least for now.

Will the parts from a 140 work on a C? When we were selling them to the highway dept they were all equipped with a remote valve. That may make them available at salvage yards.

That style bypass block works with the existing tubes/piping. To do it properly, your added valve needs to be power-beyond and have a pressure regulator. It can be an aftermarket valve. The other way to do it, as referenced by Charlie M, used a specific valve and tubes that IH provided to add a remote on Touch-Control systems. The same parts fit the C through 200 and the Super A through 140, except the control handle and linkage varied between those 2 groups of tractor models.

I have a control lever to plumb in (I assume that is what you are calling a valve). Sounds like this may be more than I want to tackle. I will do some more research. Thanks for the replies.

I don't remember much about it, the tractor has been gone for close to 50 years, but Dad had a C with a loader. The dealer had cut the pressure line to the touch control, routed it to the loader valve and run the return line back to the touch control line. May not have been right, but it worked.

The bypass block referenced in the first post does exactly the same thing without hacking up the original tubing.

There was a guy that had a Youtube video showing how to add a remote hydraulic connection to a Farmall Super C. I just can't find it now. I know that I need to buy this hydraulic bypass block to attach to the touch control unit.

Has anyone done this that has instructions, parts list, and/or sources?
Does your tractor have a fast hitch?

No, it doesn't have a fast hitch. If it did, I assume that would make the job a lot easier.
No, it would make it much more difficult because the bypass block referenced earlier would not work The fast hitch used a factory auxiliary control valve which basically takes up the spot the bypass block needs.

Couldn't I put a hydraulic hose connection on the line going to the fast hitch hydraulic cylinder and valve off the cylinder?
