I wasn’t a 100 percent sure it was you, but after your reply 33 in the “806 questions” thread the deal was sealed. Thought you would like to know there is a “new Sheriff” in town. He introduced himself as the new manager of Yesterday’s Tractor Co. early in January of this year, his name is Norman. If you go down to the bottom of the forum list in the Miscellaneous section right above Site Comments there is a new forum there named “Direct from Yesterday’s Tractor” He has some content down there. In the last week or so he visited the salvage yard operated by the YT parent company ASAP.
I thought that you might be interested in posting under your previous username with the correct spelling of tractor “the tractor vet” Norman seems like a standup guy and I think he can probably help you out with this unless there is some road block to it that I am not aware of. If I put an “@“ in front of his username he will be be sent an Alert that he was mentioned here and he might stop by and offer assistance or direct you to where to seek assistance. @NormanSavesTractors
That’s all I got. If you get that changed you can then leave the phonics to the Oak Ridge Boys “Radio.. io.. io..” weird, but that’s where my brain went when I saw that spelling modification. Hopefully they and the rest of you will forgive me for this association.

It's Me the same OLD GROUCH just a bunch more groucher and why my handle got screwed up i have NO IDEA and NO i sure am not a NEW user and been on here a LOT LONGER then most . I do my best to try and help FOR FREE when i SHOULD BE CHARGING my hourly rate . Tryen to FIX something by hear say is a crap shoot at best from when ya can lay hands on it yourself and TEST the issue . I don't tote a 3500 dollar flow rater around and a bunch of gauges and every fitting ya need . Two summers ago i got a call from one of my old customers who wore yellow under ware to come and fix the lights on a 1206 he bought thinking he was going to make a killing on resale . Yea right , just fix the lights what a nightmare , we fixed the lights after building a complete whole wiring harness down to correct color code and ga. size along with correct plug ins then found that the water pump was a hick up and sneeze away from putting the fan thru the rad. then while your at it see why the three point is so slow , It was NOT all bad PUMP i had issues under the rock shaft housing in the valves get that all fixed and then hey how about running the valves . The CASH REGISTER just kept running then when i had everything on the 1206 perfect i get suckered into fixing lights on them GREEN THINGS get that issue solved when one of his other GREEN THINGS brakes a tie rod end in the field . Spent two days just getting the pin out . By the time i was DONE it put me in a higher tax bracket and the only one who made out of the 1206 was ME . Bet he will not buy anymore with out taking me along first . told him that way before he bought it when he called asking about it . I am not doing much anymore , at the moment when the weather breaks i have a slight issue with my 806 to handle i have the parts and that maybe all i do . And as for the cost of Stuff WOW , I usually have what i need on hand , but my wiring supplys have gotten thin and to do that harness i had to restock . I normally carry over a 100 Delco 56 terminal pairs , they USE to be in Bulk .36 each , NOT NOW they are 1.76 each times 2 to make a set on the 14-16 ga. and 2.10 on the 10-12 ga. and the multi connectors CHA CHING Then wire oh my god . Then the water pump OUCH and the new Hyd. Pump and oh wait 56.78 for and O/RING . i was out of the two i needed and had to go to the dealer that o/Ring use to cost a 1.36. empty hole in my O/ring kit. and at that price it is going to stay empty .

why my handle got screwed up i have NO IDEA
You likely made a typing error when entering your username and likely used a different email and basically set yourself up under a new account. You could retry logging in again using the correct spelling but you would need to use the password and email you gave when you registered the first time as “the tractor vet” To get it fixed may very well require interaction from a moderator, thus my suggestion for the connection to Norman. I know you like to tell folks to “look in the archives” for your TA adjustment procedures etc., the way it is now you would always have to explain to them that tractor needed to be spelled correctly in your username for them to find it.

I think it is safe to say that you stopped being active on YT when the software was changed at the end of 2023, this is what your posting messages show when searched under your previous user name with tractor spelled correctly. Due to this when you came back recently you are now in the new forum platform software. You had to enter your username and then create a new password. I don't know this for certain but I don't think the new software had a reference to the emails associated to the old account usernames so when you mistyped your username it went ahead and used the email you gave and set you up with the "the tractior vet" instead of the old correct username and account. You could try logging out and then try logging in again with your correct user name. If it doesn't prompt you to created a new password click the "forgot my password"
My guess is that it will not let you switch back to your old account now that your email is associated with "the tractior vet" username. To fix that you will have to contact an administrator. This is Norman's email -- [email protected] -- you can contact him, I would hope that either he will help you or direct you to another moderator that can.

This is what it should look like when you are attempting to log back in and shows where to initiate a password reset. If you chose to have your computer save your log in credentials you will have to delete those entries in the username (top name/email address box... your email does not go there that is where your correctly spelled username is placed ) and if the password box has dots in it they will need to be deleted.

Glad to see he’s back and still kicking!
He makes the board a must check.
I had been going long stretches without looking in. Will be looking in a little more often now.
