March 17, 1964 I left Dad's Farm

I didn't really want to leave, I had a fairly good life helping Dad on the Farm. With the Vietnam war going, I joined the Navy. I went to aircraft engine school near Memphis Tennessee. Then stationed in San Diego, I was 30 miles from home, and came home a lot. I spent 6 months in the Philippines', and 6 months in Japan, and a short time in Vietnam,. My last year was in near San Francisco. Then got out. I didn't like it a lot, but as I look back it was a real adventure. of a lifetime. Too all those who had a time in the military.
