Can sos part numbers be cross referenced ?

I have mentioned sos on various sites and I have made some progress…
Sos parts are no longer available from New Holland dealers but I have discovered that the various components in sos are the same as used in certain models of Ford cars from the 60’s and parts are available but the problem is cross referencing the parts numbers from old Ford parts manual with modern computer stored parts numbers
Can it be done?
Thanks for replies

Where are you looking up the S-O-S part numbers? If it is an old paper parts manual, the New Holland parts sight might include other part numbers.

Unfortunately the New Holland parts sight appears to be having problems at the moment, otherwise I might be able to provide some screen shots showing what I mean.

It's interesting that you mention that. Harold Brock personally told me years ago that the SOS had to many Ford-o-Matic parts in it to be successful. That is why he "quit". I've always wondered which ones they were, but never heard anyone even mention the interchangeability. If you have any luck, be sure to post it for the world to see - and record.
