Hello, I just purchased a 1949-53 Tera Trek / American Tractor GT-25.
There are some warn out track parts that I need to replace or have re-made / repaired.
The links that the track pads bolt too and the interlink hinge pins that hold the two link ends together are worn down, damaged and need to be replaced.
I am totally new to this hobby, as I am a WWII living Historian that has only restored WWII Jeeps and trailers...Most Recently a Case Army VAI tractor.
I picked up this mini crawler for a steal, and I want to restore it to look like a CA-1 and be able to show it as a representation of a Clark CA-1, with a WWII Engineer display I have built.
If you can provide me any direction as to where I may find these parts or have them repaired, I would very much be in your debt.
ALSO: Anyone know anything about Continental flat head engines. ... This thing has a Continental L-124 engine in it, but I was also given a spare L-140 complete engine as well. With my desire to restore the dozer, thinking I can restore the L-140 to factory condition, then when I begin the restoration of the crawler, slip this in, in place of the 124. I dont know if the bolt pattern for mounts and bell housing are the same.
I would hate to restore this, only to find out I spent a bunch of money for a no-go-fit engine.
Thank you all in advance.
