I'll try to keep it short but it's complicated. Have a WD (with a -45 motor) that needs a motor, bought a WD-45 for the motor but decided to fix both. Trying to adjust the governor/throttle linkages. Could not get full throw on the quadrant. Found this issue (pics) that the governors are different and the throws on the governor arm are different. What do I have here? The casting # on the new WD-45 is AV3853-6. If I adjust for idle the wide open will only be 2/3 of the quadrant. If I adjust for WOT the idle is 1/3 of the quadrant. Engine reacts properly but the quadrant travel is limited. The old looking governor is on the original WD, the painted one is on the -45. Sorry for any confusion but thanks for any help. EDIT: The old governor rigged fine on the WD.
