Snap-on KR-691 Top Box lid struts

Hello all. I do not have access to a dealer directly, so I thought I would ask here. I have a used snap on KR-691 top tool box missing the lid struts. I have done an online search, and get several different part numbers. Does anyone here know the actual part number? OR the specs of the strut? Collapsed length, extended length and weight rating?
Thank you

Mike

I have a different box but my struts are 9"-14". My box has 2 banks so a small lid and a large lid. If I get a chance to look closely I'll see if there are any numbers. How wide is your lid?

OP, do you have an Amazon prime account? If so, in instances like yours I would take a crap shoot on some struts due to the ease of free returns.

I found a post on another forum indicating an older box very similar to yours uses Snap on xxxx part number (I didn't note it), but the OEM strut sourced by Snap On is a Suspa c16-09461, made in USA (or at least used to be). Those are $21.99/pair on Amazon right now.

Specs are here: https://shop.suspa.com/c16-09461-gas-spring-p148.aspx

In case you can’t find any by the model number, the serial number will be lightly stamped on the back side of the box.

This is what it says on my KRA 6200 they would be original if that date is correct

It’s significantly less wide they are pretty stiff for what they are opening here they might use the same one for a bigger box

Scootergmc, thank you for the info. Bought the pair on Amazon prime, put them on tonight, seem to be doing the trick. Thanks again!
