John Deere 350 Dozer Part Sources

I recently acquired a 1965 350 Dozer. I soon discovered it needed a new ring gear. I have it apart and was able to replace it, but the flywheel pilot bushing is worn and needs replacement and I can't find one. It measures approximately I.d.- .871" O.D -1". It's proving really hard to find any parts or info on these. Everything in for 350B or later. Any leads are appreciated.

Have you checked with your John Deere construction equipment dealer? Are you using the part number in your search, not just application?

The bushings show in the 350 parts catalog, with the flywheel. It looks like M1638T was the original number and T30527 would be the current number to use. I suggest you talk with your dealer's parts department. They might need the crawler serial number to confirm the correct part.

Do you need a manual for that crawler?
I have this one here that I'll never use and don't know where I got it.
The cover is beleagured and dirty but the inside is clean and very readable.
If you - or someone else here - can use it send me a PM and I'll get it to the post office.
Send me a $10 bill for shipping when you get it.

The service manual for a 1965 straight 350 is John Deere publication SM2063. Your TM1032 manual is for a 350B series crawler and is not the correct one for his crawler.

LaVoys house of Deeres group If it a plain brass bushing you could get an Oilite bushing from McMaster Carr & a machine shop could turn it to dimensions
I actually have a lathe. Failing all else, I can make one. I didn't know what material they are made of.
