3010 diesel fuel line location

Im putting my restored 3010 diesel back together. My old fuel line from the tank to the lift pump was copper. But it was leaking. So I had a steel one made ...Does it go under or over the steering motor? does it go between the frame and steering pipes? Does the fitting on the lift pump face down? Because if it does the fitting is too close to the pump body and I cant start the fuel line on to it ..I made the mistake of putting the frame pan and front axle on so its making this job extremely difficult

The steel line goes inside the frame back to the fuel pump. The inlet fitting at the pump points down. This line has multiple bends in it so if you had one made, chances are it may not line up. Did you have the old steel line for a pattern? I do remember installing my line before the tank and steering motor went in. Maybe best bet is to get a new line from Deere.

I actually bought one from steiners.. the old one was copper. I just didn't know if I was trying to route it wrong. I should have installed it prior to everything else.. I looked in the parts manual but it doesnt show if its below or above the steering motor
