Ford 7000 with pieces of needle bearing that fell out when draining oil

I'm calling the pinion gear the pinion shaft. What I'm asking is would my pinion gear that is in my 7000 bolt into the 5000 housing, I would also use the ring gear set up from my 7000, so they would stay paired. The top cover has been gone for a while as there is some rust on pinion gear and ring gear on the junk yard housing, that is why im wondering if the pinion gear would bolt in from my 7000. But the housing appears good. There is remnants of the filter base for external filter on the junkyard housing. My parts book shows them being a different part number as a matched set between 5000 and 7000, but would they bolt into each other's housings. Thinking that if can confirm the pinion gear and ring gear would bolt in from my 7000 and everything looks and measures up right it might be worth a shot to see if it works.
