IH 584 no brakes…

My IH 584 has no brakes, I’ve bled them before and go them back, but now I’ve got no brakes at all and when I try to bleed them nothing comes out. Mine doesn't have a reservoir, just straight in. I’ve let it run for 5 mins, shut it off and checked the hyd fluid, it’s about an inch above the full line. Any suggestions on where to start for the brakes or anything to try? And also am I checking the fluid the right way?

Pull the rubber feed hose off the line from the oil cooler to the masters, get the orifice out of the hose and see if it’s stopped up. First thing to check, must be an early 584, later ones had the reservoir I believe

Ok, I’ll check that out, thanks!

That was it, the screen was in the middle of the hose blocking everything. Does the screen have to be in it? I left it out and have great brakes now.

The orifice needs to be there, it sets the amount of oil going to the master cylinders.
If they get too much oil it can cause the brakes to drag and wear your brake lining off. That’s a big job to replace the brake discs. If you make sure the orifice is clean and the small hole is open the masters will get enough oil
