JD 5020 FUEL TANK REPLACEMENT

First time posting on the JD forum. I have been trying to find a fuel tank for a 5020. It's a 1966 model. I have exhausted every avenue known to me and cannot find anything. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Don’s Tractor Salvage was a no go! Said they haven’t seen a decent 5020 tank in some time.

Any possibility of getting it rebuilt ?

After sand blasting the bottom to see if we would find more than the one hole you could put the tip of a pen through…… we discovered about a dozen other pinholes. I don’t know if it’s repairable. This is a new issue for me so I have no experience with repairing tanks or knowing someone that can.
In the picture… it’s just as bad on the other side of the seam!

How extensive is the area of pinholes? If the problem is only along the seam, it's probably repairable. Then you could seal the inside of the tank with a quality material. I've had to do this in a pinch.

You might also check with this guy. He specializes in that family of tractors. Seems like there should be a fair few tanks around from converted pullers.

I found a guy in Iowa with a decent tank. Only had 2 pinholes to patch with JB Weld. Thank you everyone for all your replies and help. Much appreciated. Got in the fields this weekend and everything seems to be holding good.
