I got an old coats(I think) tire changer. No plate on it. I havent found the spinner hold down yet. Looking for any assistance as to what I got and where to find the spinner. Its not a spinner, but some kinda cone wedge. The shaft as yall can see has 3 lines on it. Id love to see of pic of what im hunting for in the old shop, it may still be there. Just very curious as to what this is and what the cone hold should look like.

A note on the tire changing bar, I found one on Ebay that has plastic ends. Lets me change alloy/painted wheels without damaging them.

A few things for you wider tires will be a problem so will larger tan 16" For open center type (mobile home) cut the center out of an old wheel use it as a clamp.

Broken disk blade works for me. One side is missing so I can access the valve stem .

i cut the center out of an old implement rim, fortunately the three holes line up
on the farmall m fron rim. three bolts keep it from spinning. works on both
my tire machines

those bars are angled so the rim lock does thread on
Yep, you drop the round wedge over the post, give it ¼-turn and it's tight; IF you have the rim centered on the post first. Often I had to give the wedge a whack with a bead-breaker hammer to get it tight enough.
My cousin died Apr 1, and his widow is holding an auction to sell all his garage stuff. The Coats tire changer is in the auction. It's in excellent condition, always been inside.
He bought a new Kubota tractor, tiller, FEL, all on a trailer (package deal) about 10 yrs ago. Bet it hasn't got 300 hrs on it today.; always stored inside. If I had use for a 2nd tractor I'd attend the auction. His 2014 GMC K1500 has about 60K on the odometer. His prized possession though is a 1974 all-original Chevy convertible.

Ok fellers. Found this cleaning out the old shop, is this is. I just need to know what im looking for. The shaft on ny machine is not threaded. Several ebay sellers have told me now that the threaded spinner will not work on mine.

I bought a Coats tire machine just like in the picture but with Air cylinder to break the Bead on top and bottom. It would probably work on Conventional tires of a Car,Pickup, front tractor from that Era (soft and pliable) but worthless on any modern big fat tire.and fancy rims I bought mine because I ended up with a farm truck full of old mounted tires to get rid of plus I use anything old that still works on my collection of old cars & tractors. For the most part the Coats tire machine isn't up for the task and I end up using a traditional bead breaker and tire irons. No good on the old stiff and heavy ply tires. I wish I had my $100.00 back????

Another big flaw is that 4 ft bar to roll the bead over the rim of the tire has a poor pivot point around the center post of machine that it takes an awful strong man to do it..
