Hi everyone. Is this Case 530 shift lever supposed to face right like this?

Just checking. Just looks odd. I’m having to pull it apart anyway as the center rail shaft seems to be bent and won’t allow the center shift fork to move.

The earlier series tractors used a straight lever and I am quite certain that would be a drop in change if you can find one, that curved lever is hard on the inside of the right leg depending on what gear you are working in. I have threatened to take the blue wrench and reshape mine but have not yet.

Thanks, no yeah I have thought about doing the same thing. I hope you had a chance to read my post on a nasty noise coming from the front area. All looks well with a clutch gears in the transmission. All look good but no hydraulic pressure for the loader bucket. Have you ever seen this kind of a failure they people I bought it with told me that their father had dementia and did something very bad. We don’t do bad things do we but that’s my understanding and so I’m gonna have to split the tractor probably and dig into it. Thanks for all of your great advice.

Joe from up in Washington State used to give me great advice too. I don’t know if he is still around or not.
