MF 165 REAR WHEEL OPTIONS

I just picked up a MF 165. It has the power adjust wheels on the rear that are full of calcium and rusted beyond saving. Do I have to go back to power adjust wheels or can I mount a “fixed” rim on my tractor. I would just buy the original power adjust wheels but the clamps are so rusty I will probably have to cut them off with a torch. I’ve seen some rims with the 6 loops on them and the center part that looks like it would bolt up to my hubs. Thanks for any help

You will need different wheel centers if you change rim types, even to the loop style rims. You need to match the center hole diameter and bolt circle and type divots mounting the centers. Also offset needs to enough to clear.

I replaced the rims and tires on my 65 with rims and tires from an AC Gleaner K. They were the 8-bolt solid rims with 16.9 26s. I used the fronts from the Gleaner also they were a 7:50 16. Works great, it was a low arch model. I saw a pair of 8 bolt rims in a recent online auction here in central Michigan.

Thanks for the info. I bit the bullet and bought a new wheel and some used clamps and stops. It’s at the tire shop now.
