TO-20 or TE-20?

Hey tractor gurus! I grew up on a farm with two tractors, a Farmall H and a Harry Ferguson. They both came with the farm when we bought it in 1973.

The Farmall went with the farm when we sold it in 1988. We sold the Furgason to someone else. (Last time I saw it was unloading it from the back of a dumptruck with no loading ramp - dumb farm kid stuff is probably a different thread).

Looking at models, it had to be either the TE or TO 20. The attached appears to be the only picture we have of it. What say y’all?

From the dash I would say TO30. Don't think Any TO or TE 20s had a dash like that.
TE and TO tractor hoods looked the same but were manufactured differently. You can tell if you can see if the side panels are spliced right behind where the head light would be. Grills on TO were one piece where as TE grill were multiple pieces.

My 1950 TEA 20's dash is exactly like that.

Been in the family since new.

The engine, judging from the oil filter, is a Z129 Continental, which is consistent with a TO30 model tractor. This is consistent with the air intake on the dash. I am aware that certain English made Fergusons had that Continental engine, but I am uncertain as to the specifics.

All very interesting, thank you all. I will spend a little time in the new year pulling up photos of those tractors and seeing if anything looks familiar from what I remember from 40 years ago.

Air intake on dashboard seems to indicate TEA-20 or TO 30

Not seen in the photo, but ours definitely had running boards and a toolbox under the hood, indicating TO-30

As can be seen in the photo it had an external oil filter, indicating TO-30

So, I am calling it a TO-30.

Thank you all, much appreciated.
