I can get this tractor for under $250 but has a hole in the block you can put your fist in. I'll post pictures. What do you think? Buy it or not?

Those rear tires are cracked and junk too. If your scrapper is close enough it's worth a bit more in junk probably. I'd pass unless I was a scrapper and it was free.

Well depends why you want it, do you want a project or does it mean something to you? I redid a fence row 584 Ih and that was 10 years ago and well over 5000 grand in it. If you can get a block or weld a patch plat the over parts should be easy to find. Good luck

70 year tractor going have a lot of money to get it going. Put together an outline of needs and cost .
Are you handy or going to pay someone ? Figure 125 and hour labor.
Probably got 3000 in engine and clutch .
If you’re flipping it probably will not make the 300 percent mark up.

Wow, I see it now! I have welded cracked blocks successfully, but that's a lot more than a crack! If you could grind it smooth all around the hole and then drill and tap many small holes to bolt on a patch with a rubber gasket. When I welded our Farmall A it leaked a little but stop-leak fixed it and we used it for years.

Unless I was looking for a long and expensive restoration project, I would pass. Or if you are rebuilding another Jubilee and needed a parts, then maybe Id consider buying it.

You could buy a runner for much less than you'll have in getting this one working. If you're looking for a project/entertainment it's not a bad choice, keep an eye on marketplace and you'll eventually find an engine. Lots of parts available and this machine does have some desirable pieces - decent sheet metal, front wheel weights, piston hydraulic pump, hat rims look to be good. Certainly some money to be made parting it out, although that's work too.

If I was looking for a worker, I'd pass and pick up a 600/601 or 800/801 with live power in running condition for $2000-2500.

BS what? Tires cracked and junk? Click on the pictures then zoom in and look. They're everywhere and you can see it sat flat for a long time. It doesn't even have tire value.
I'd bet those front wheel weights are worth 250! add in tin and grill! yup, a profitable parts tractor!! My son sold a set of tires worse than those on this tractor after he replaced his! I told him to trash them, ended up selling for $100 dollars and had multiple calls after! To this day he says he should have asked more! AND didn't have to pay to get rid of them!

Nah I'd bet they're not. Ballpark Ford front weights at $100-$200 for a pair, and that's being generous. Tin and a grill? Pffft. What's all y'all's time worth? It's not lost on me that on a forum full of farmers and tractor enthusiasts that a $250 tractor would be considered profitable. Spend the time and fuel and more time retrieving, wrenching, parting, selling, wheeling, dealing, and disposing, yep, it all pencils out I'm sure. While it's a golden jubilee, we're not dealing a prize here.

I've sold crappy tractor parts all the day long as well. But I learned when to say when. This is a when.

You are kind of missing the point. Here on YT, old tractors are just a hobby for most of us. Most YTers know that you cannot buy, fix, paint and sell an old tractor for a profit. A few do but that is an exception. Old tractors are like every other hobby, you never recover what you spend. Take deer, elk or any game hunting. It is a hobby for most who choose that path but the meat is cheaper to buy in the store than what it costs to go hunting for it.
