Here I have 4 of the Pocket sized Brochures for NEW IDEA Hay Mowers from the Early to Mid 1960's
My Dad had one from the Late 1950's That He Used and I used it for a Few years
A Lot of the Trailing Mowers were sold around here. And I still see some being used by Hobby Farmers or used for Cutting under Fence Lines
The older brochure has some numbers wrote on it. I beleve that the price was $410 and a trade in was $75

I mowed a lot of soil bank ground with those New Idea trailer mowers when I was in grade school/high school. Every farm in the community had one. They were a good pitman mower - easy to hook up - drawbar pin, PTO, tie the trip rope to the seat, and you were ready to go to the field.

I have what's left of a 256 after lending it to a guy. He somehow caught a tree and turned the bar and breakaway into a piece of modern art.
