To add to how things have changed

In addition to this, I’ve had the experience of spending a few 8 hour days packing on a David Brown 1200.
I learned my lesson the first day after I wound up with sunburnt arms. Needless to say I wore long sleeves the next few days. Despite the sun protection, I was hot, caked in dust and left with a headache from the constant droning of the exhaust. Those old boys were tough! I couldn’t imagine making a living that way.
My great uncle farmed for a living with Minneapolis-Moline equipment. He passed away from cancer later in life but during his illness questioned if the farm had anything to do with it, particularly spraying using open station tractors.

My dad gave me the old car if I would stay on the farm when I was sixteen. A sedan, six cylinder, three on the tree. my friends were building V8 hot rods. I have a 1/2 ton pickup that rides and drives like a car. I would still go back and be sixteen again then be 78 now. john

Several years ago I was assigned a company pickup with heated seats. I thought heated seats in a loggers pickup? What's next, we gonna start painting our toenails and talking about our feelings or something? But you know, after a cold rainy day when you're soaking wet and beat and facing a 3 hour drive home...

Somebody is always preaching hate. Whether it's because of religion or politics. Jesus taught love and forgiveness, but you'd never know it.
Trouble is, "turn the other cheek" only works if both participants believe in that saying; otherwise someone gets their arse kicked.

They are told to hate you guys... the assimilation is complete for some.
Let’s remember that the North Star state is a relatively large state and not all of us live in 612. Most of us peasants live in the Duchy of “Rock and Cows”. We in the subordinate RnC Duchy don’t necessarily recognize gubner Mao from Nebraska. Travel to the 4 corners of the state and you’ll a bit of diversity and a lot of agriculture and industry support by and supporting agriculture.

I know it was a generalized statement. Its no different in this rural part of coastal Va that I live in.

If you could only see the t-shirt I have on right now, it undies twists a certain group 🤣 🤣 🤣

Edit: and I mostly made the comment because those that follow their orders and hate Minnesota are generally pretty dim. So more about them than Minnesota.

Wasn’t poking you. Just my observation.
It will all shake itself out.

I did not want to highjack the thread below, so this some things that I have lived, and I am still not that old. Never had a cab or winter housing on a tractor. We spread manure in the winter as long as we could get through the snow. I remember standing up to get the heat from the exhaust. Had an Armstrong barn cleaner. Silo unloader was also Armstrong until I was about 16 when we added a new silo and bunk feeder. Always had a hand trip loader. Still use the hand trip loader on the WD45 since this is my big tractor. The good thing is I no longer farm so the equipment is just to play with.
Lots of folks put down hand trip loaders but they beat pitchforks! And a 45 is a great tractor!

Remember add on blinkers for vehicles that were made without them? Dad had a pickup without and used hand signals. I doubt you'll find over a half a percent of drivers who even know hand signals. Crank windows and hand signals in the cold. Yep, those were the days.
Think JC Whitney offered the directional semaphore add-ons into the '80s. Hand signals were still a thing when I started driving....
But.... my first truck was an AA.

There is actually more nuance to it, and that verse is often misquoted as you just did here. It is not turn the "other" cheek, it's turn the left cheek after being struck on the right cheek. If you had been struck on the right cheek, that means someone backhanded you with their right hand, which is a slight offense. Being struck on the left cheek means a hard slap or even a fist from their right hand, and THEN it's time for self-defense, as Jesus commanded his disciples in Luke 22:36 - "Then said he unto them, But now, he that hath a purse, let him take it, and likewise his scrip: and he that hath no sword, let him sell his garment, and buy one." According to Jesus, better to be armed and naked cold than disarmed but warmly clothed.

Grew up with an S10 and Ranger, been rocking older minivans. I just bought a full size truck for my business. The heated steering wheel on cold hands is absolutely amazing and I can’t tell you how much I love having a full size. Three car seats along the back, can hand all the snacks back to keep the peanut gallery in line.
Do you hit a triple?

I was taught that that phrase had to do with insulting your good name not in a fight but that could be wrong
