This forum is for reporting interaction between buyers and sellers, good or bad dealings, quality etc.

As NDIHC suggested to you this morning, you need to put a Wanted Ad in the Classified Ad section. You will find that section if you click the down arrow at the right side of the word Marketplace you will see in the banner across the page, above the forums.

Here is a link to the Classified section.

Ok thank you for your help, I’m new to the site and couldn’t find the marketplace or classifieds, Thanks for sending me the classifieds.

The classifieds section is not available to new users. You will need to achieve a certain tenure before that feature opens up.
What is the criteria a new user needs?

It seems a number of new users are just looking to sell or find something and not interested in the discussion part of forum use. I find several members with no messages to their credit that have ads posted.

I can't disclose the criteria. Because it get's exploited by scammers. We need to constantly change things up for forum security. I will research some of the recent ads and ensure they are legitimate users and see what happened there.

Thank you, I understand the security concerns. Years back the site required a certain number of posts before one could post pictures. I think it was 10, then dropped to 5 before being eliminated a couple years before the software change. The problem was pictures were often needed to provide answers. Based on your reply, it sounds like the only reply to cases such as this one is to tell a person if they don't engage in the discussion forums for a while they are out of luck for using the site's Marketplace. Just thinking out loud about avoiding clutter of looking to sell or find/wanted threads in the discussion forums.

Right. Yes, it's not appropriate for a new user to just be able to list something for sale. That puts our other community members at risk. We have already been playing whack-o-mole with this type of behavior.
