The 4 blade one is a button clutch disc...will last longer than a fiber disc.I will need to order a clutch plate for a Case 530 Utility Tractor. Are there any differences between clutch plates for the model years?
Some look like a conventional car clutch and some look like a 4 blade fan blade.
Please advise and thank you.

They pull harder and last longer but are more jumpy and grabby.Great advice thank you
Interesting…thanks! They pull harder and last longer but are more jumpy and grabby.
Your 530 does not need a Button Clutch. They are designed for higher HP's and higher torques than your 530 develops. They are hard on Flywheels, and Pressure Plates. They wear into them. A Button Clutch is also harder to "feather". Stay away from them.I will need to order a clutch plate for a Case 530 Utility Tractor. Have had a button disc in my 1030 since 1972. Had a Case 70 loader on it since 79. Loaded thousands of square bales and round bales plus loaded manure. Never has been grabby or hard to feather...been perfect all this time.Your 530 does not need a Button Clutch. They are designed for higher HP's and higher torques than your 530 develops. With that luck, you better go buy some lottery tickets!!Have had a button disc in my 1030 since 1972. Had a Case 70 loader on it since 79. Loaded thousands of square bales and round bales plus loaded manure. Never has been grabby or hard to feather...been perfect all this time.
A 1030 is much heavier and has a lot more torque and hp which will smooth out the clutch some. And with the extra torque of a 1030 there is a use for the button clutch. My 1030 has one too.Have had a button disc in my 1030 since 1972. Had a Case 70 loader on it since 79. Loaded thousands of square bales and round bales plus loaded manure. Not my 1030. I won't use a button or pad clutch. Too hard on the Pressure Plate and Flywheel. Customers that call here for clutches that have button clutches need pressure plates and flywheel work. Customers with "Woven" discs tell me all they need is a disc.A 1030 is much heavier and has a lot more torque and hp which will smooth out the clutch some. Strange.....We shipped 1 out today.Trouble is, those old one-piece replacement linings aren't available anymore, at least in the 11" size.
