I acquired a 380 forklift and can't seem to find a place to check hydralic oil level. It's different than the older 480. I have a book that tells how to take it apart but no indication on where to check oil level at .
Anyone on here know?

If the 380 is like my 480B, the dipstick is underneath the operator's platform, left side in a short upright tube in the transmission case, threaded with a knurled knob.

It appears it could be one of two places. Here is what the Operator's Manual shows.

You can download and save a free copy of the operator's manual from the JD construction and forestry bookstore.

JD Construction and Forestry Bookstore

Type 380 in model search box and click the search icon at the right of the center box. It will open a list of all models with 380 in the name. Scroll through it and you will find the 380 Forklift Operator's manual. Click the download button to download a free copy of the manual to your device, which you can save. The other manuals for the 380 forklift are in the list and available for purchase.

You can also type OMT69916 in the center box and search. That should take you direct to the manual.

Yes. The dipstick is as I described and the fill cap location is right behind the driver's feet in the operator station floor.
