Tractor and Farming duties..

I get this question all the time. What all did you farmers get accomplished on your tractors and farming lately?

I've planted about 1300 acres of beans, Harrowed 2 pastures, Sprayed 3 pastures, Turbo tilled 2 farms, Fixed 6 tires, Installed a new shop door, Planted 600lbs of potatoes, Mowed and sprayed 4 house yards, Planted 48 trees, and slept about 2 hours. The rest of the time I just wasted.
I was planning to clean up the bean planter tomorrow and put it away but I just got a call to go look at 400 acres of corn that got heavy rain on it and maybe rotory hoe it. I was hoping to have a real meal and rest a little but thats probably not going to happen.

Oats are in, most of the corn ground is chiseled. The rest has a lot of manure and some grass coming on, so that's getting plowed. There's still water standing on that field, so it won't be for a while. Other than that, been hauling manure, feeding cattle and picking stones. We had plow day a week ago with 16 antiques. My son forgot about it and made other plans or we would have had 17.

Looking at ground too wet to get on with equipment. Even the Mennonites who like to push in the mud are sitting.

Sure wished we had more wet ground here in the West. Helping a buddy of mine bale some barley, my pay scale today is whatever kind of beer I prefer! We played baseball together in high school..

Called Korves Oliver yesterday and was talking with Mark and he'd told me he couldn't take my order, as he was out planting beans with a White 160.
