Hi I’ve been working on a 4cylinder 172 diesel and the injection pump has been giving me issues. I took it to a shop had it rebuilt the pump didn’t work I verified this by putting a known good pump on just changing the pump and nothing else it runs fine. Brought it back to the shop they said everything checked out. I was wondering is there something simple that they could have overlooked I’ve never had one apart is there something different about them because they run vertical and not horizontal I know there could probably be 100 different things that could be wrong I’m kinda at a loss with it thanks for any help
