4000 foot throttle

What kit fits a 79 3cyl 4000 diesel. I see a Ford part number D2NN9735A advertised but unclear description as to what it fits

The 3 cylinder 4000 was made from 1967 through 1975, so it can't be a 1979 4000. If it is a 3 cylinder 4000, the parts site says that the foot throttle kit for a diesel is part number FT089N713H. The part number you mention, D2NN9735A, is really just the foot pedal itself, and that part number is only for the 3 cylinder 2000 & 3000 models. The pedal for the 4000 is D2NN9735B. It looks like a number of after market sellers are using that part number for the entire kit and claiming that they fit the 2000, 3000 & 4000 models. I would contact the seller to be sure that it really fits a 4000.

Ford made a different style for the later industrial models too 445 545, etc, etc.
This one was on a 1983 545 but fits a 4000.
A little easier to operate as you push down instead of pushing more forward but kinda necessitates you mount and dismount from the left side of the tractor.
Might be a lil easier to find.

Call Red Rock Manufactoring. Purchased one for a 4 cylinder 4000 from them and it works great.
