i have several McCormick IH plows out of my fence row and would like to get parts for the bottoms. I used have a note wrote down and i have lost that and now i can't remember the correct way to measure them. Can someone out there help ? i would like to get the 70 pull type back in shape again to take it to a couple of plow days . Thank you in advance.

For prior plow days some advice . Your plow will need some maintenance that you won’t be able to correct at field.
Suggest getting a book called By ihc called better plowing with moldboard plows. What condition are the plows in? Could make for a long day at plow day if the plows and tractor are not set up. Experiencing isn’t the best teachers, is it your plows or is the other guys causing your issues.
Get them set up and practice before you go. That my suggestion before you go.

It's going to either be 14" or 16". Literally every part of the bottom is exactly the same except the share, and a 16" share will work on a 14" bottom provided the share is attached with 4 bolts. So on the odd chance you can't figure it out just make sure the share is held on with 4 bolts, and get 16" shares.

In fact I have used 18" shares on a 16" plow and they work just fine. The extra length doesn't matter because it's just hanging out into the open furrow cut by the bottom ahead of it.
