I do love harvestores. There’s at least one at almost every farm around here of one size or another. Now all the farms are dead and the livestock is gone.

There was one east of town that they took down with a torch. I wouldn't think that glass lined stuff would cut worth a darned.
 
I think it was one of the sales ploys to put the farmers initials or farm name on the silo. My old homestead being no exception.
In the case of the clay silo the initials stand for Adolph Casimir Ochs. He was the founder of Ochs brick in Springfield Mn. ACO produced brick and glazed clay tiles for building and silos and likely had a silo crew.

We just unearthed an old brick cistern in Redwood Falls.
