1650 Hydraulic Lift

My 1650 lift arms won't raise, checked the hydraulic oil -- no oil. The reservoir under the seat is apparently empty. Happened suddenly, I check it nearly every time and don't use the lift very often. I still have power steering. Where did the oil go? What is the next step? Do I try to fill it? Thanks

Either a bad seal in the pump or a rust hole in the pan. Most likely the rear end oil is over full now isn't it? The large framed tractors have a draft control rod up through the pan with a seal, but it's external on the 15 and 16 tractors.

If it's leaking down into the rear end when the tractor is off, you need a new pan- it's leaking into the rear end. If it's leaking down when running, you need a pump. Simple as that.

Thanks for the info guys, appears to be leaking out a 3/4 pipe fitting on the left remote. Gonna fill it back up and see what happens.
