Got a late model B that i'm working on. It wouldn't idle right and was surging really badly, would only run with choke; these forums and other internet searches told me it was the idle passages. Using the proper drill bits (no. 40 and no. 53) I drilled out the passages by hand. Now with the carburetor back on the tractor, it's flooding extremely badly, to the point where I can't shut it down once I start it no matter how closed the throttle is. I have to choke it out to get it to stop. I've even tried screwing in the idle and load needles all the way, and it still continues to run, and will even accelerate if I give it throttle.
What am I missing here? I've felt around the inside of the carb and its dry so I don't think the float is overfilling, but maybe that's not a good test. I just don't understand where its getting fuel if i've got both of the needles screwed in all the way.
