Rest-o-ride seat

Yes, what Greg posted! As I have posted before, I had a Chinese one from Steiners fail after less than 10 hours. The ones that Korves has are the same as what I used to get. I replaced the pair that failed over a year ago and they are still good. You want the ones for an Oliver 440.

Go with the ones from Korves! Top quality, I've had a set on one tractor for going on two years now with no problems. I'm a little north of 300lbs so they get a workout and I have the seat set I believe under the 250lbs marking that is stamped into the seat frame. They ship promptly also.
Thank you! I've never ordered from them before so was checking on the shipping aspect. Seems like every time I order from Steiner I end up waaay north of the dollar amount I was going to spend. Maybe this will help me focus on ONE item that I actually need. :) side note* I went and helped a friend with her tractor last week, she said it was a Ford 8n and couldn't figure out the draft control. Long story short, it turned out to be a really nice old 4000 that ran like a dream. I noticed it had the same seat, only hers had the weights stamped into the seat bucket and I could actually READ it!

I went back and took another look at your original picture. If you look closely at the seat bracket you will see little "L" shaped stamps in it. These are to index the sticker that has the weights on it. Some seats were stamped with the weights already on them and some used a sticker, which is the one you have. If you really want that, George Bradish Tractor Parts carries good quality decals.

Here are a few pictures.

I appreciate that! I just finished up my seat and used it for the first time last night. It was....fun,lol. nothing really went like I thought it should. Bushings were not correct, needed to be cut in half. (too long) There were tabs holding the old bushings in the frame that had to be delt with. The holes in the rubber bushings was S.A.E., the new adjuster was metric (had to open up the holes). Great learning experience, and well worth the effort. BTW, I'm glad I bought the bushing kit...my seat only had 2 of the originals Ha!

Which rubber torsion springs did you use?

I went with Korves. I called Steiner and they confirmed that theirs were made of Chinesium. For 35 bucks more, I got the good ones. Gramps always said it you don't have time to do it, you certainly don't have time to do it again the right way.
