I’m thinking of buying a 535 baler I found. It’s an earlier model 535, has the yellow pickup. Everything works on it and guy has had zero issues. He’s selling because he upgraded. New tires were put on 5 years ago, all baler belts were replaced 3 years ago, the tie pump belt was replaced 2 years ago. Last year he noticed some sprocket teeth getting sharp so he replaced all the drive chains as well as 4 sprockets.
guy is firm at $6500 Canadian. That’s a little higher than the others I’ve seen for sale, most seem to be selling around $5000, but none of the other ones I’ve seen have advertised new belts and chains. The guy was up front with me that there are still some things he’d do if he was keeping it, such as PTO shaft u-joints and belt dividers, but overall seems to be in good shape. Would this be a fair price for this baler?
