Allis Chalmers Model 66 All Crop Harvester

Interesting ad. It was my understanding ALLIS model numbers were equal to header width. In this case 66 (inches) does not equal 6ft. I think the true 6' are model 72 and do not have a canvas. Brothers by Alton just bought a 72 (or maybe a 90) and did their first harvest with it last year.

I suppose the way they could get by with the ad is the dividers probably crowd in 3 extra inches on each side of the sickle. That works for harvesting wheat I guess. Not so much if you're cutting solid seeded soybeans at ground level.
