1966 Lamborghini 2R hydraulic issues

I’m helping a friend with his new acquisition. The 3 point did work, but now after painting the tractor, the 3 point doesn’t raise. There are apparently no hydraulic test ports I can put a gauge on and there are only two steel lines from the pump to the lift mechanism/tank. I have a schematic diagram of the system, but it’s translated from Italian. It doesn’t help locate any of the parts though. We can’t find anything obvious and the relief valve seeems OK.
Anybody have any knowledge about these tractors?
We are at a loss other than just take the whole system apart and look for problems. The connections at the ends of the pressure line seem to be some proprietary fitting that bolts to the pump. It’s not like I can just splice into it with my gauge set.
Anyway here’s a couple photos of what I’m on about.

I ask because you didn't mention it, but did you check the hydraulic fluid level. I would say 80% of the time people I know have trouble with the three point hitch it is low fluid.

Must have taken it apart to paint in order to have changed anything. So either, low oil, maybe a spring and valve/washer in the wrong order, linkage not properly hooked up, pump not turning or needing priming, or maybe the lines hooked up in reverse?
