Any suggestion how to install this pipe without pushing the oring out Used soap. Oil lube and grease and just can’t get the tube to press in. Any help greatly appreciated

Clean up the tube more with a flap wheel, put the head flange on first with a hose clamp on the tube to keep it for going together too far. Then try prying it up in water bump with a flat prying bar (wonder bar)

When I replaced the water pump on my 520 I installed the tube and o-ring in the pump out of the tractor, i used a little Vaseline on the o-ring which helped it to engage. With the bypass tube seated in the o-ring in the pump and the upper part of the tube in the upper bypass port i was able to rotate it all into place and then install the water pump bolts. My issue was two fold... 1. the tube was a replacement and did not appear to have the factory bend to align with the pump mounted in place, 2. the o-ring was tight and difficult to install in the tractor.

How does it fit without the oring ?? Is the end of the pipe chamfered/tapered for insertion and not cut the oring?
The tube has about 1/4 in long chamfer on both ends. But we have tried so much pressure and twisting and it doesn’t seem to even get close. Tube has plenty of clearance without oring and oring slides right on when not installed

The tube is OEM but they are straight no bends. Seems like they should have a bend but they don’t.

I have cleaned it up good on a wire wheel bench grinder. Can you clarify on your comment about prying up
