Rear main seal on a C

Getting ready to order parts here and wondering about the rear main seal. The basic engine rebuild kit is not too clear about inclusion of front and rear main seals (they don't appear to be included in complete gasket sets). There appears to be a felt or cork seal for the rear. I"ve done the cork one in the past and it worked just fine, is the felt one a better choice? There also appear to be two different front seals. I think I'll phone the order in to get some clarification.

Both the cork and felt work if installed correctly. Being 88 and in a wheelchair for 9 years I am not up to date on everything. The last two of those engines I rebuilt I used the lip seal for both front and rear. The early D15 engine's rear seal will bolt in place. It does cost more and you have to fill the oil return grooves in both the front and rear of the crank shaft.

Thanks for the info. Hope you’re doing well all things considered. You’ve helped me out in the past with solid advice. I drive by your place every once in a while when I’m taking the back roads through Ohio.
